If you can't afford a real fireplace at home, this virtual computer-hosted alternative may work for you.
3D Fireplace Screensaver makes use of those periods of time when you're away from the computer, displaying a warm, romantic fireplace right on your screen. The screensaver includes the typical crackling sounds of burning wood, but unfortunately they soon get too repetitive so the illusion of realism is ruined.
The screensaver includes only one type of fireplace but you can download more models from the program's website, although I personally find all of them too similar. They may change in design, that's true; but both the flames and sound effects are exactly the same.
3D Fireplace is an original screensaver but it's definitely not the same as the real thing.
